Allison Arnott

RN

Allison is a registered nurse with over 30 years’ experience in health. Whist Allison has predominately worked in Queensland, she has also had the opportunity to work in some unique places including the Kimberleys and Saudi Arabia.

Early in her career, Allison specialised in Oncology and Haematology nursing. Later she made the move into management roles predominately related to clinical and corporate governance. Allison believes strongly that good governance is an essential part of delivering safe and reliable health healthcare and can encourage care providers to focus on what is right for the patient.

Over the past 7 years, Allison has worked within Metro South Health, a major provider of public health services in Queensland.  Her most recent roles have enabled her to lead service improvement projects aimed at building the organisation’s capacity to meet the increasing demand on services and support the flow of patients through the health service.

Why Allison joined the Club

The chance to be part of an international group that will touch the lives of those in need all over the world seemed like a great opportunity for me both personally and professionally. I am excited to see where this dynamic group of nurses and midwives will take this Charter and how we can positively impact the lives of those in need both in Australia and overseas.
