Dr Lisa Peberdy 

(PhD) RN, RM, Master of Clinical Nursing – Maternal, Child and Community Health, Graduate Diploma – PHC Management in Developing Nations, Cert IV Workplace Assessment & Training.
 
Lisa has over 25 years of experience as a health care professional specialising in sexual and reproductive health (clinical, education and research). Lisa has extensive experience working in rural and remote Australia and in developing nations such as Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea and Western Samoa. 
 
Lisa’s passion and special interest lie in public health, women’s health, cervical cancer screening and prevention, reproductive autonomy, midwifery, and mentoring health professionals in developing nations. Lisa was the National Nursing Representative on the Steering Committee for the National Cervical Screening Program Renewal project 2011 – 2014 and led the Queensland implementation of the new National Cervical Screening Program and the transition of the State Health Pap Smear Register to the new National Cancer Screening Register in 2017.
 

Why Lisa joined the Club

 
I wanted to become more active within the professions of nursing and midwifery in a vocational manner, provide mentoring to nurses and midwives from developing nations, and give back to the community where able.
