Have you registered with MY Rotary yet ?
A big thank you to all members who have registered with My Rotary between September and now. Currently we increased from 39.47% at end of September to now having 57% of our members registered with My Rotary. It would be fantastic if we could have all members registered before the visit to our club by DG Tim Keeler on the 13th December. My Rotary really is a rich resource of ideas about RI and different roles within clubs.
Portfolio leads for Projects, Louise & Jules, are keen to have a meeting with all project leads to assist determine progress and potential end dates for all projects the club is currently involved in.

Club Social Events - Cruise Conference - Cancelled
In discussion Sue, Jason and Wendy have decided to cancel the cruise as there had been poor registration for same.
Due to the high demand of cabins on the cruise ship selling fast a decision had to be made re the conference for Rotarians.
Sue and Jason are still running a non Rotarian cruise on the same ship / same dates and venues if any member would like to attend that conference.
As a club we can discuss and consider another Rotarian Cruise at a later date.
Projects
We are a very busy Club - below is a snapshot of the projects that we are currently involved in.
End Polio Now
World Polio Day was 24th October. We will know from the leadership meeting on Monday 7th November how much funds were raised to donate to End Polio Now.
The Three C's Cafe
We will continue to offer the cafes every Thursday evening (Brisbane, Qld time) until the end of November. Please continue to advocate and promote the cafe with your colleagues through promoting our flyers in your tearooms, offices, and share / like / repost the flyer from our club LinkedIn, Social Media pages.
Shelter Box is an exceptional organisation that our Club has partnered with. They provide emergency relief to people around the world who have been made homeless by natural disasters and conflict.
We have pledged to fund five Shelter Boxes each year for the next 3 years. The cost is $1000 per Shelter Box and we raise funds for this through raffles and events held at Education Conferences conducted by the Nurses for Nurses Network and Education at Sea.
Treasurer Jeff is pleased to report that we have been able to donate our first $1,000.00 to Shelterbox for this Rotary Year. Again a big thank you to the work of Sue, Jason and Louise to make this happen. Shelterbox is very active in Pakistan currently due to the major flooding that has caused devastation recently.
Project lead Cecelia Flomo invites members of the club who are interested in being involved in this project to contact her and then, as a team, they can determine future progress for the project
The Florence Nightingale International Foundation (FNIF), the charitable arm of ICN, launched the Girl Child Education Fund (GCEF) in 2005 with the mission of supporting access to education for the orphaned daughters of nurses in developing countries.
The Rotary Solar Case has been developed, first and foremost, to provide light in remote health centres, aiding health workers where the availability of electricity is problematic at the best of times. The ability to provide portable lights for village birthing assistants is a major priority in areas where women often give birth in village huts or village health centres where the light from kerosene lanterns or mobile phones is otherwise the best available alternative.
It is the month that Rotary clubs and districts remind and educate Rotarians about the remarkable programs of our Foundation and seek the financial contributions needed to make the world a better place.
If you want to know the date of any of the Club Meetings or Events then go to the events page on the website.
Meeting agendas and minutes are sent out by the club Secretary attached to an email a few days before the meeting takes place. If you are not receiving those emails then contact the Club Secretary on secretary.gnmrotaryclub@gamail.com
